A Day in the Life

I’ve been neglecting this here blog for the past couple of weeks while we’ve been working one-pointedly to get the latest issue of WIE out the door, but after finishing my final tidbitty tweaks today, I flipped through the latest issue of Rolling Stone, which tipped me off to something amazing that happened during Paul McCartney’s June 1st concert in Liverpool. For the first time ever, the Beatles’ best song, “A Day in the Life,” was performed live. Though Paul flubs one of his own lines, he manages to get John’s right, and pulls off a beautiful rendition of the song, segueing into a nice “Give Peace a Chance” riff (with Yoko looking on from the audience).
